Listen, guys. I’m writing to encourage you all to start using Twitter. In case you don’t know what it is, it is a waste of time that takes place in a number of different places, ranging from your web browser to your cell phone to your internet-enabled refrigerator. I know it’s a stupid, pointless activity, but when has that ever stopped you before? Just sign up and start blathering already!
And then you can be my Twitter friend. You can find me here.
Someone in my class at the journalism school asked if it would be okay to have her boyfriend give her answers for the take home exam. No, really. And when she was told that no, it wouldn’t be okay to have someone else do her work for her, she was seriously upset about it. The best part? The class is Media Law and Ethics.
Oh sweet lord. This is hilarious, especially because it features a classic Van Damme moment.
Anyway, my prediction for the Skins game wasn’t way off (except for a little detail… the actual outcome). I’m disappointed in the wide receivers, who couldn’t make a play all day long. Cooley and Campbell were great, the RBs were adequate, and the offensive line did what it could, considering how many of them were injured during the game. Next week is Arizona, whom we must destroy.

I was listening to this week’s Ante Up podcast, and the guys had a long argument about something that has always bugged people who play poker online: how do we know these sites aren’t screwing us over? It would be facile for a poker site to rig the deal in various ways, such that the cards a player is dealt aren’t truly random.
The guys on the show were arguing about two things: 1) continuous shuffle, and 2) weighting toward action hands. Unfortunately, I don’t think any of them really knew at any point which, if any, of these things they were actually talking about. I’ll address them one at a time, and give my opinion about both.
Redskins/Packers:
Favre throws 3 interceptions, Skins recover 2 fumbles, Campbell has 1 TD and 1 interception, and the Packers lose by a field goal.
Patriots/Cowboys:
Romo stinks up the joint. Brady and Moss are awesome. The hated Cowboys lose by 24.

Then, this:
I love techno viking.
I just preordered In Rainbows and opted to pay a total of three pounds, forty-five pence (including the sneaky credit card processing fee). I think that means I paid about seven bucks for the album, which I consider to be a fair price. But since I could have legitimately paid nothing for it (context: Radiohead lets you pick your own price, starting at zero), I kind of got ripped off. But I figure if I’m going to ask for artists to start selling music without DRM and at a more reasonable price, I have to put my money where my mouth is and reward the artists I like who actually do it.
Anyway, seven bucks for a Radiohead album seems like a good deal to me. And I get to download it tomorrow!
