Frankly, between the tags and the video title, I was expecting much worse. It turns out to be a lot less creepy than I anticipated. It’s actually kinda sweet!
They certainly seem to have figured out the mythos of the photo op over there, huh? That one materialized out of nowhere!
Anyway, according to my reliable friend John, this is what Putin had to say about it:
“He seemed to me very independent, very serious, but at the same time a boy is always vulnerable. He was very sweet. I’ll be honest, I felt an urge to squeeze him like a kitten and that led to the gesture that I made. There was nothing behind it really,” Putin said, smiling.
Um, hmmm. Is it too late to take back what I said about it not seeming creepy?
