Click here to download “Sleeping,” which combines Portishead’s “Glory Box” with the Beatles’ “I’m Only Sleeping” to form a maudlin, downtempo track that has been stuck in my head for hours now. It’s all part of Revolved, a mashup project from last year that took on the White Album (with varying degrees of success). You can find a torrent for the whole album at that link, or if you don’t use bittorrent you can simply imagine what it might sound like, sucker.

A similar album remix exists for London Calling, called London Booted. It’s no longer available online, so unless you already have it you’re probably screwed. It mostly sucks, though, so you shouldn’t feel like you’re missing too much. (here are a couple of the best selections from that album: Spanish Bombs Over Baghdad, put together by Instamatic, and Raptorous Revolution, a Poj Masta track).

There have been some complaints about my sudden and completely unexpected move from LiveJournal. To attempt to address this, I have made arrangements for my posts to be simultaneously published in both places. This is a test entry to see if it works.
